Abrasive Wheels Regulations

Abrasive Wheels is a half day course looking at the safe use of abrasive wheels. This is a theory only course looking at the Health & Safety requirements of the PUWER Regs 1998 and the more informative HSG 17.

Topics covered include:

– Correct wheel selection

– PPE use and storage; the ‘do’s’ and ‘dont’s’

– Looking at past accidents

– Pre-use checks

This theory will stand a candidate in a good position going forward in site specific practical training before being signed off by the company nominated person.
